01
Conformance Status
- We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the international standard developed by the W3C.
- Conformance status: utopiats.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. "Partially conformant" means some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the standard. We are actively working to remediate these.
02
Built-In Accessibility Tools
- A floating accessibility toolbar is available on every page (look for the universal-access icon in the bottom-left). It lets you adjust text size, increase contrast, underline links, reduce motion, switch to a dyslexia-friendly font, and reset to defaults. Your preferences are saved on your device and persist across visits.
- Skip-to-content link: press Tab when the page first loads to skip past the navigation directly to the main content.
- Keyboard-friendly navigation: all interactive elements are reachable via Tab/Shift+Tab and activated with Enter or Space. Focus indicators are visible at all times.
- Reduced motion: we honor the prefers-reduced-motion system setting and the toolbar override — animations and transitions are disabled or shortened when requested.
03
Compatibility with Assistive Technology
- The site is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies: NVDA and JAWS on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, TalkBack on Android, and recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari.
- All content uses semantic HTML5 landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and ARIA labels where helpful. Images carry descriptive alt text; decorative images are marked aria-hidden.
04
Standards We Apply
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA — text contrast ≥ 4.5:1, large text ≥ 3:1, interactive elements ≥ 3:1.
- Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act — applicable to federal-procurement-relevant content.
- ADA Title III — public-accommodation digital access.
- Color is never the sole means of conveying information.
05
Known Limitations
- Some embedded third-party widgets (for example, the chat assistant) may not yet meet AA standards in every state. We are working with vendors and our engineering team to close those gaps.
- Some PDF documents linked from the site predate our accessibility process and may not be fully tagged. Email accessibility@utopiats.com to request an accessible alternative.
06
Feedback & Contact
- If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please tell us so we can fix it. Email accessibility@utopiats.com with the URL of the page, a description of the issue, and the assistive technology you were using.
- We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days. If a fix requires longer, we will provide an estimated timeline and an accessible alternative where possible.

Formal Complaints
- If our response does not resolve your concern, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice under ADA Title III, or with the Office for Civil Rights of the U.S. Department of Education for education-related content.
- California residents may also reach out to the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing.
08
Assessment & Continuous Improvement
- We assess accessibility through a combination of self-evaluation (axe-core, Lighthouse, manual keyboard and screen-reader testing) and external audits.
- Accessibility is reviewed quarterly and on every major release. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
